It is interesting for me to look back over the years, and trace the path that has led me to where I am now. Graduating from Bates College with a BS in Geology, working at Great Basin National Park in Nevada, and then teaching high school science in New York is probably not the quickest way to become a graphic designer.

However, I believe that those past experiences are where my voice as a designer comes from—my education, work, travels, family, friends, my love of the natural world. So when I examine my journey into graphic design I value every twist and turn, every resting point, and every steep climb. And I am excited about where the next conversation may lead me.
